Initial Post:
Answer the following questions with the intention of comparing similarities among the two stories.
- Compare and contrast implicit reasoning, concepts, and arguments.

Myth of the Cave and Story of a Good Brahmin:
- Discuss the symbolism in the stories, including their similarities and differences. For example: The prisoners are mankind. The Brahmin is like the philosopher in the Myth of the Cave. The old woman is like the prisoners. What other symbols do you find?
- What is Plato saying about education/knowledge in this allegory? How is it important for us as critical thinkers in this day and age?
- In Story of a Good Brahmin: What conclusion does the narrator arrive at towards the end about the value of reason? Do you see any parallels with the Myth of the Cave’s conclusion?
