DQ # 1 Imogene King Conceptual System and Theory of Goal Attainment

Imogene Kings philosophical position is rooted in General Systems Theory of Goal of Attainment which provides a holistic approach to the study of nursing phenomena. She is one of Nursings earliest theorists.
You are being asked to explain Imogene King Conceptual System and Theory of Goal Attainment (Please do not write a synopsis, review the DQ Rubric for the grading of the best response). During the review of the theory, the metaparadigm of the theory must be included. The metaparadigm of nursing is a framework that guides nursing practice. Explain how this theorist view: Nursing, Health, Person and Environment. Please note that it is your job to determine if each theorist described the 4 elements of the metaparadigm in the theory). All DQs must include a review of at least one scholarly article in which the theory has been described.
Once you have explained the theory, demonstate the metaparadigm use in this theory and demonstrate how Imogene King Conceptual System and Theory of Goal Attainment theory can be used in your current practice and in advanced practice.
Please note, all DQ discussions in NUR 5015 MUST begin with an Introduction and a Conclusion. Please do not use I or We in this scholarly discussion (noted in the syllabus). You are able to use pronouns in your responses to your classmates.
