Please make a rough draft using this topic: As for my research paper, I intend to write about the many different psychological and social experiences I have been faced with growing up in Asia, specifically the Philippines, and then migrating to the United States as a Filipino. Precisely, I want to delve into how immigration, cultural identity, and intergenerational expectations can effect mental health, racial identity development, and a sense of belonging. I want to write about this as I, a Filipino immigrant, can often navigate both colonial history and racialization in the U.S., which causes different identity conflicts and pressures within families and individuals. I want to be able to not only write a paper on this, but to also reflect and understand for myself how migration impacts self-concept, acculturation stress, and the balance between maintaining Filipino cultural values and adapting to American society., Submit a rough draft of your research paper for our in-class Writers Workshop. This draft should be a real working draftnot an outlineand it should include your introduction, a clear thesis or central claim, and at least 35 pages of developed writing (double-spaced) that shows your argument and use of sources. You do not need a polished conclusion yet, but you should include a working reference list with at least three sources (at least one peer-reviewed journal article). Bring a copy to class (digital or printed) so you can share and receive feedback during workshop.
