Youll analyze the criteria that influence whether officers arrest, investigate, or document behavior, particularly in sensitive areas like domestic violence, drug enforcement, and vice crimes. We’ll also explore how discretion is managed through internal and external controls, and how officer wellness and professional judgment shape these split-second choices.
