A well-known public company
A nonprofit or government organization
Your analysis should demonstrate your ability to connect theory to practice by using concepts
from the course.
Assignment Objectives
By completing this assignment, students will be able to:

Report Requirements
Your report must be no more than 5 pages (double-spaced, 12-point font, APA or similar
professional formatting).
1. Organization Overview (25 points)Provide a brief overview of the organization:
Organization name and industry
Size and structure
Mission or purpose
Key products or services
Brief description of workforce
Focus on context, not detailed company history.
2. Organizational Structure and Design (40 points)
Analyze the organizations structure using course concepts:
Consider discussing:
Centralization vs. decentralization
Formalization
Departmentalization
Hierarchy and span of control
Decision-making processes
Explain whether the current structure supports or limits organizational effectiveness.
3. Organizational Culture (40 points)
Evaluate the organization’s culture.
Address questions such as:
What are the shared values and norms?
How is culture communicated to employees?
Are there visible artifacts, traditions, or behaviors that reflect the culture?
Is the culture strong, weak, adaptive, or toxic?
Connect your observations to organizational culture theory discussed in class.
4. Leadership and Motivation (40 points)
Analyze leadership practices and motivation strategies.You may discuss:
Leadership style(s) present in the organization
Leaderemployee relationships
Employee motivation practices
Rewards, recognition, and performance management
Connect your analysis to OB theories such as:
Transformational or transactional leadership
Maslows hierarchy
Herzbergs two-factor theory

5. Communication and Team Dynamics (25 points)
Evaluate communication practices within the organization.
Consider:
Formal vs. informal communication
Communication flow (upward, downward, lateral)
Collaboration and teamwork
Conflict management practices
Discuss whether communication practices support organizational effectiveness.
6. Recommendations for Improvement (30 points)
Provide 23 specific recommendations that could improve the organization.
Each recommendation should:
Identify a clear problem.
Be supported by organizational behavior concepts.
Explain how the recommendation would improve performance, engagement, or culture.
