Read the story The Cask of Amontillado.

Defend your position by writing a short paragraph or essay where you:

• Use TWO specific references from the story.
• Include ONE observation about Poes writing style.
• Explain ONE personal interpretation or reaction.
• Write naturally and in your own words.

You should not use AI, copy from the internet, or summarize websites because the document clearly states that you will not receive credit if artificial intelligence is used.

When you finish:

• Save the assignment as a Word document.
• In Canvas or Blackboard, click Browse My Computer.
• Find your document.
• Upload it and click Submit.

My professor wants to see:

• your personal opinion,
• analysis of the story,
• direct examples from the text,
• and your authentic voice in your writing.
