This semester, you will analyze one case study from the textbook, found at the end of each chapter. Your case study analysis should critically evaluate ethical issues, stakeholder impacts, and decision-making processes within the case. This assignment is designed to help you apply key business ethics concepts, enhance critical thinking skills, and explore how ethical dilemmas are managed in real-world business scenarios.
Assignment Requirements:
Your analysis should be 4-6 pages in length (excluding the title and reference pages) and must include:
- Title Page Include your name, course information, the case study title, and the date.
- Introduction (1-2 paragraphs) Briefly summarize the case, identifying the key ethical dilemma(s).
- Ethical Issues and Stakeholders (1-2 pages)
- What are the primary ethical concerns in the case?
- Who are the key stakeholders, and how are they affected by the decisions in the case?
- What ethical principles, corporate values, or social responsibilities are at play?
- Application of Ethical Theories (1-2 pages)
- Apply at least one ethical framework (such as utilitarianism, deontology, or virtue ethics) to analyze the situation.
- Explain how this ethical perspective could guide decision-making in the case.
- Company Culture and Corporate Governance (1-2 pages)
- How does the companys ethical culture influence its decision-making process?
- Were there failures in leadership, policies, or corporate governance that contributed to the issue?
- Your Ethical Recommendation (1 page)
- Based on your analysis, what ethical action should the company take?
- How can the company prevent similar ethical issues in the future?
- Conclusion (1 paragraph) Summarize your key findings and reflect on the broader implications of ethical decision-making in business.
- References Page Include at least one credible academic or professional source outside of the textbook (Wikipedia is not permitted). Follow APA 7 formatting for citations.
