Introduction
The objective of this part of the 1-page fact sheet assignment is to develop a summary statement with supporting bullet points. The deliverable for this week is a 1-paragraph document that summarizes your 1-page fact sheet.
Reminder: this is part of the larger research project, with benchmarks/drafts due biweekly. Your instructor will continually work with you to improve your submissions. Throughout the semester, you will be working on the same topic you picked during Week 5 and editing your most recent benchmark submission.
Instructions
Using the sources youve collected, develop a 1-paragraph summary of the story you want your fact sheet to tell. Be sure your paragraph includes the following information:
- What your topic is.
- Why it is important for people to know more about your topic.
- The 8-10 key points the viewer needs to understand about your topic. For example:
- If you are discussing the relationship between religion and medicine in the Etruscan civilization, you will need to explain where the Etruscans lived and the timeframe of their civilizations existence.
- You will also need to describe the role of religious figures and information about what religion was practiced by that society, as well as the role of medical practitioners (who practiced medicine, what type, and how).
- Then you can explain the relationship between the two, using examples as appropriate.
You will NOT include the full paragraph on your final 1-page fact sheet submission (Week 15), merely use it as reference to guide the development of the content sections on your 1-page fact sheet. Think of the summary and bullet points as a roadmap to ensure the information you include in your 1-page fact sheet is carefully curated to provide value and clarity to the reader.
