After educating yourself on this weeks topics through the required readings including those referenced here, write your response in a Word document using APA format.
Part 1-
Choose one of the required scholarly articles from this weeks readings (also listed below). Clearly identify which article you choose for your response in the title of your paper. Then, respond to each of the following:
- Summarize the key points of the article you chose.
- Discuss the business plan related from the article. What state and federal regulations impacted this particular scenario describe in the article?
- What were the obstacles? How were they and/or could they be overcome?
- What are the implications for your own future practice or a practice in your area/region?
Part 2-
- Identify reimbursement practices needed for the business of healthcare practice with NPs.
- Examine diagnostic and procedural coding. What are the differences and how do offices use them in day-to-day practice? Give an example of 2 different types of visits. For example, a middle-aged patient coming in for a well-visit who has diabetes.
- Discuss the credentialing information needed for NPs for a credentialing application for billing purposes.
- What are the dangers of over and under coding?
