WEEK 7 – Literature Review

• 1 Page: Title page in APA (7th ed.) format
• 5-10 Pages (approximately): Literature review that includes a section on family or developmental theory (with appropriate headings throughout); headings and citations must be in APA (7th ed.) format.
• The literature review should begin with a brief introduction that demonstrates the purpose and importance of your topic and proposed study
• Utilize headings throughout the review to connect the dots between the different constructs being studied
• The literature review should end at the research question(s) (at least two), hypotheses (at least two), and brief summary/restatement of the current study purpose
• 12 Page (approximately): Research question(s) and hypotheses (Hint: Each hypothesis should correspond to a research question)
• Reference list (running list that includes only the references you have cited so far)

If you make a mistake on your first submission, you can submit up to three times. Your last submission is the one I will grade.

The week 7 assignment is one element (the literature review) of your overall research proposal. Prior to this week, there were other formative assignments building up to this one:

Week 2 the topic/purpose was due

Week 3 research questions and variables were due

Week 4 the annotated bibliography was due

Week 5 I recommended (in the syllabus) working on the literature review outline

Week 6 I recommended (in the syllabus) writing the sections of the literature review

Week 7 (now) everyone should be completing the literature review built from all those previous assignments.

All these assignments build on one another. Your topic for week 7, ideally, is the same topic you submitted in week 2, and began reading literature (and annotating) in week 4, etc.
