Voices from the Field

Choose TWO issues related to education that are important in your school and community. These should be issues that you can see have been a trend (they have some history) but are emerging as an issue. For each issue, discuss the following:

Name the issue.

Briefly explain the history that makes this a trend.

In which constructs (equity, access, and diversity) does the issue reside? Why? Explain this fully. Be sure to include as many of the constructs as appropriate.

Do you anticipate a paradigm shift? If so, why? If not, is one needed? Why or why not?

What challenge do you foresee your workplace, institution, or community experiencing in making the shift or addressing the issue? Do not use budget or financial challenges for this.

What recommendation will you make to address the challenge?
