Outside of the United States generous system of community colleges, our post-high school education in America is among the most expensive in the world, creating an ever-widening gap between the super-wealthy and the rest of us.
This Investigation calls for you to determine a college, university, or institute where you could finish a degree or certificate that is outside of the USA and its territories.
I have had the pleasure to give talks on this before, helping students decide on good candidates, and I earned my PhD outside of this country as well.
So,
- Start research today on a country that you would like to live in and key universities/institutes that catch your eye there.
- As your investigation deepens, answer these questions: Why do you want to go to there? What does that city and land have that you like to do, see, visit, and enjoy?
- What are the requirements for acceptance? What are your current grades/test scores, and how would they compare to those of people trying to get acceptance there?
- What would be the total price (tuition, fees, books, food, lodging, transportation, etc.) and what are realistic opportunities for grants/scholarships for foreigners like us? Which ones would you apply to?
- What would you study and research at this place? What is the department and what is the degree/certificate you seek? Why is it valued or vaunted? How is it rated?
- Here are a couple dependable “ranking/rating” sites …
- Why would you like it there? And what could help lead to your success there? What clubs or associations do they have there which you want to join?
- In this written report, also show three visuals: two of the campus, and a third as an ariel shot of the town/city it is in.
(Note: You don’t have to study at Lone Star College’s international partners, but we do have some in France/Morrocco/and Japan, and we do belong to international associations that have benefits and connections to them, like this: Our European Transfer Four Year University Partner:
Rennes School of Business (France)
Our Asian Transfer Four Year University Partner:
Kansai Gaidai University (Japan)
Our African Partner:
Rabat International University (Morocco)
>>Amazing Fact: The Cost for Finishing a Degree at these three places (as of 2024) is cheaper than finishing the last two years of a 4 year degree at University of Houston for a Harris County Resident.)<<
