For full credit cite a relevant one sentence quotation properly cited. A citation from chapter 5 of our textbook is needed for the second two questions in Part Two. Again, cite a relevant one sentence quotation for full credit. Be sure to use in-text citations and list under References as shown below. Here are important details: A Bible commentary is a book where a theologian goes through the Bible and comments on the meaning, usually verse by verse. Four commentaries are listed on the Topic 4 worksheet along with the web page links. Copy and paste the web address or go to the syllabus (click on T4 on the main menu) for direct links. Keener covers Matthew, Luke, and John, while the others cover one gospel. When the web page opens click the Read Online tab, then the Table of Contents tab (top right corner). Scroll down to find the book and passage you are looking for in Matthew, Luke, or John. Then simply use the black arrows on the bottom right to go from page to page and copy an appropriate sentence to quote. The reference listing is provided on the worksheet, so just copy and paste it under References, and use an in-text citation after your quotation: …quotation (Keener, 2014), (Blomberg, 1992) for Matthew, (Edwards, 2015) for Luke, and (Michaels, 2010) for John. For Part Two questions b & c cite from chapter 5 in the textbook: Greever, J. (2022). Chapter 5: The wisdom and mercy of God. In D. Diffey & R. Holland (Eds.),The beginning of wisdom: An introduction to Christian thought and life (5th ed.). Grand Canyon University. The in-text citation needs to match with the authors name and date: (Greever, 2022). For Part Three, be sure to answer in light of Mark 8:29: But what about you? Jesus asked. Who do you say I am? Peter answered, You are the Messiah (NIV). So how would you personally respond to the question? The Messiah (Christ)? The Son of God? A great prophet? A good man? Is he fully God and fully man? Then expand on your beliefs to meet the required 250 words. In Mark 8:29, Jesus discussed with his disciples what people were saying about him. Jesus asked his disciples directly, “But who do you say that I am?” In this assignment, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of who Christians claim Jesus is and to share your own belief about who Jesus is. For this assignment, you will respond to prompts in the “Who Do You Say Jesus Is?” document and provide supporting details with citations from a Bible passage you select from provided list in the document and at least one of the commentaries from the approved commentaries at the end of this document (also found in the Topic 4 Resources). Additional instructions are provided in the document. Based on Mark 8:29, you will summarize and analyze the claims made about Jesus’s identity and purpose in the “Who Do You Say Jesus Is?” document, which includes four parts. In the first part, you will respond to prompts about a teaching of Jesus. In the second part, you will respond to prompts about the nature of Jesus. In the third part, you will provide a personal response to who you think Jesus is. Lastly, you will need to provide references for all citations.
