Research Proposal

This assignment is designed to evaluate your understanding of the quantitative research process and concepts. Throughout the course, you developed and revised your research question or questions and hypothesis. As in previous units, revisions to the hypothesis and research questions are necessary. If you feel revisions are needed, go ahead and make them. In this assignment, you are required to develop a research proposal based on your revised research question or questions and hypothesis. At a minimum, your research proposal should contain the following sections:

Introduction: Provide an introduction to what you plan to research. The introduction should be no more than 300 words.
Problem statement: What is the research problem and the cause of the research problem? The problem statement should be no more than 300 words.
Purpose of the research: Is it to investigate gaps in existing research or knowledge of the phenomenon under investigation? The purpose of the research section should be no more than 300 words.
Research significance: Explain why it is important to conduct the research and any possible additional contributions to current knowledge about the phenomenon. The research significance section should be no more than 300 words.
Background: Provide information regarding the research studys history, location, characteristics, and who might benefit from and use the research findings of the phenomenon under investigation. The background section should be no more than 300 words.
Research design: Include the research hypothesis, research questions, and the rationale for the data collection and data analysis methods. The research design section should be no more than 300 words.
References: You will need to provide a minimum of five sources for this assignment. One source may be your textbook. The remaining four are required to be scholarly peer-reviewed resources from the CSU Online Library.

Your research proposal must be at least five pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including a title page, an abstract and in-text citations and references for all sources that are used.
