One essential skill for any entrepreneur is the ability to communicate their ideas clearly and quicklythis is where the elevator pitch becomes important.
In this assignment, you will explore the significance of entrepreneurship and analyze effective elevator pitches. You will then create your own recorded elevator pitch that reflects your personal journey into entrepreneurship or your entrepreneurial mindset.
Part 1: Research Component
Research and briefly reflect on the following:
- Why is entrepreneurship important in todays economy?
- How can an entrepreneurial mindset benefit individuals, even if they do not start a business?
- What makes an elevator pitch effective? Consider clarity, confidence, structure, and value proposition.
Use course materials and at least one outside source. Summaries should be 12 paragraphs.

Take notes on tone, structure, delivery, and clarity.
Part 3: Create Your Elevator Pitch Video
Record a 3060 second video where you deliver an elevator pitch based on:
- Your personal journey into entrepreneurship, or
- Your entrepreneurial mindset (how you think, solve problems, or create value)
Your pitch should include:
- A clear introduction
- Your core idea or story
- What makes your approach or journey meaningful
- A strong closing statement

Part 4: Peer Feedback (10 Points)
You must provide meaningful feedback to at least 4 classmates elevator pitches.
Each feedback response should be 35 sentences and address:
- What the student did well
- What could be clearer
- How compelling the pitch was
- One suggestion for improvement
