In Phase 1 of the Risk Assessment Project, you must identify a real physical Target Environment (TE). A physical target environment refers to the specific, tangible location or facility where risks are being evaluated. It encompasses the built environment, infrastructure, and physical assets that are subject to potential hazards or vulnerabilities. Examples include educational facilities, community centers, churches, and government buildings.

As part of your project, you will want to visit this TE to gather facts, conduct interviews, and obtain statistics pertinent to the TE. A thorough fact-finding process will ensure that you review all key aspects and challenges posed by the TE and its environment.
