SW PAPER 2

Purpose

This assignment builds on the first paper by asking students to design a macro-level intervention grounded in social work values, organizational theory, and the Black Perspective.

Assignment Description

Using the same community or organization from Assignment 1, students will propose a macro intervention, such as a program, policy change, advocacy strategy, or organizational improvement.

The paper should include:

1. Problem Statement

• Clear articulation of the issue identified in Assignment 1

1. Proposed Intervention

• Description of the intervention (program, policy, campaign, organizational change, etc.)
• Target population and goals

1. Application of the Black Perspective

• Explicit use of at least three principles
• Explanation of how the intervention promotes equity and justice

1. Implementation Considerations

• Key stakeholders
• Potential barriers and facilitators

1. Evaluation Considerations

• How success could be measured at a basic level
