Suicide risk among youths with depression

This assignment is designed to help you narrow your focus to relationships that could be examined with an intervention/QI project. Describe a phenomenon/clinical practice problem within a specific study population, using support from the literature. Identify factors contributing to the phenomenon/clinical practice problem (antecedents) as well as outcomes (consequences) influenced by the phenomenon. Use an Ishikawa chart to illustrate the factors. Narrow to 2-4 related factors named as concepts and relate to each other with at least one of the concepts as an outcome, including how you would measure it. Use a two-sentence structure to summarize the proposed relationships to be examined. Lastly, propose an intervention to address the problem, linking to the outcome identified above.

Depression in youths is associated with increased risk of suicide. Social isolation, perceived stress, and delayed treatment, exacerbate depressive symptoms, increasing the risk of suicide among young adults (Ahad et al., 2023).
