SOCI329 Sexual Labour and Society- Midterm Literature Review

Drawing on nine mandatory or optional readings from lessons one to six and your

textbook, conduct a review of the literature. The goal of the exercise is not to assess the

readings but to convey to your reader what knowledge and ideas have been established

to make sense of sex work and to create a theoretical framework.

A literature review synthesises what has been published on a topic by accredited

scholars and researchers. In writing a literature review, you aim to convey what

knowledge and ideas have been established on a topic to your reader. Your literature

review is not just a descriptive list of material available or a set of summaries.

Structure your paper with an introduction, body and closing remark a 5-page limit, not

including the bibliography. Any pages included above the page limit will be removed.

Papers must adhere to the following formatting guidelines:

Typed with one-inch margins

Font: Time New Roman, size 12

No cover page

Page numbers included
