Smart Goals

Students will develop a set of goals and objectives related to professional development in Module 8. You will utilize the SMART goal setting format, similar to the format you used with the service delivery plan assignment. A template is included for your use.

You will develop 3 professional development goals. The goals may be immediate with a deadline at the end of this semester, short term with a deadline of one year, or long term with a deadline 5 years. You must have at least one goal for each of the following areas:

1. professional self-care
2. career/job goals
3. counseling/case management/social work/other skills development (future training needed or desired)

Utilize the attached resources to explore SMART goals, general goal setting, professional self-care issues, and other helpful tools. Use this template to complete all SMART goals and review the example provided below. You may not use the exact goal
