C) There is a central irony to the frame narrative story of this story–the opening exchange between the fisherman and the demon. Can you identify it? What moral imperative do you think can be extracted from this story and from the story’s central irony in particular?
D) Why do you think Shahrazad has included a parallel so close to Shahrayar’s betrayal by his wife in this story? What is the implied value behind the tale of the enchanted king as it pertains to Shahrayar?
