Assignment Directions:

1. Find a product or service that interests you and do some research on it. Read information from the company’s website, as well as any independent reviews of it.
2. Decide whether our (imaginary) company should purchase the product or service for our use. Assume that I have asked you to do this research, because I know we have a problem that needs to be solved by this product or service.
3. Write a recommendation report in memo format, addressed to me, your boss, in which you describe the products/service’s features and recommend whether or not the company should invest in it.

Include only these sections in your report:

Introduction: 1 brief paragraph. Tell me why you are writing, what the product/service is, and the name of the company that makes/provides it.

1. Body/Discussion: 2-3 paragraphs. Tell me the main features of the product or service as found in your research (be sure to say where you found the information) and give your opinion of the product. Also include the cost and any other pertinent information that would persuade me to purchase the item for our company’s use.
2. Conclusion: 1 paragraph. Reiterate your recommendation and say what happens next (for example, I should let you know my decision by a certain date).
