Reflecting on the Social Perception and DEI in Organizations

Recently, you were asked to watch a video on DEl in organizations and participated in a class lesson on this topic. Using what you have learned about the social perception process and DEl in organizations, please write a short reflection (3 to 5 pages) answering ALL elements of the following questions:

1. Factors of the perceiver: a) How might your unique combination of social identities (e.g., your gender identity, racial identity, ethnicity, age, ability level, etc.) influence how you behave toward others in the workplace?

2. Factors of the target: a) What kinds of identity-based stereotypes do you think might influence how people treat you/ interact with you at work? b) How might stereotypes of other identity groups affect how others with different identities from you are treated in the workplace

3. Factors of the situation/context: a) What societal/cultural values and/or beliefs might shape how you interact with other people the most at work?

b) Which societal/cultural values or beliefs do you think most influence how other people currently interact with you in general? Explain your answers.
