Quantitative Survey Evaluation

I have done a research proposal outline that I would like to use the topic from, if possible. I have attached that outline as well as the rubric.

The purpose of this assignment is to critically evaluate a peer-reviewed journal article that employs a survey to collect quantitative data, with focused attention on research design, validity, and ethical considerations. By examining how the study addresses extraneous variables, you will strengthen your understanding of quantitative survey design and develop your ability to critique research thoughtfully and respectfully.

Review “Research Ready: Designing Surveys,” in the Topic 5 Resources to learn how researchers apply best practices to the design of a survey suited for a specific project. Then find a scholarly peer-reviewed journal article from the library that uses a survey to gather quantitative data (Descriptive, Correlational, Causal-Comparative/Quasi-Experimental, and Experimental Research). In 500-750 words, analyze the survey. Include the following in your analysis:

• Summarize the study being conducted, including the purpose of the study.
• Describe the survey and what it was designed to measure.
• Describe what types of demographic data were collected.
• Describe the types of scales that were used (Likert, Rating, Ranking, etc.).
• Describe the validity and reliability of the survey instrument, including if there are there any confounding effects of extraneous variables.
• Describe the ethical standards that are being considered in the survey, including respect for persons, beneficence, justice, respect for communities (i.e., Belmont Principles).
• Reflect on the survey by explaining how biblical principles of honesty, fairness, and respect for all individuals are integrated into both the survey design and the analysis of data.
