You will examine whether non-human animals possess consciousness, how we determine our own conscious awareness, and what criteria we use to evaluate consciousness in others. This assignment emphasizes critical thinking, argument development, and the use of research to support your position.

Do non-human animals have consciousness? How do you know that you are a conscious being? What evidence would you require to determine whether another being is conscious?

Requirements for Your Initial Post
