Please adhere to the following guidelines as you compose your papers for submission to the discourse-development discussion board:
- Use the criteria in the rubric (linked in the banner at the top of this page) to shape the style, structure, and substance of your writing.
- Conclude your Initial Paper/Post with a thoughtful question for your peers.
- Make sure that your Initial Paper/Post is substantive and roughly 500700 words in length;
- Incorporate material from the assigned reading.
- Use additional, peer-reviewed literature to support your stance.
- Use the Writing Center to help you refine your writing.
- After you have made your weekly post, like the post(s) that made you think the most! The student with the most likes will be featured as the Peers Choice Award for discussion board post of the week! There will also be a Professors Choice Award. There are no rulesjust like a post as you would like it on social media.
On a more general level, plan ahead! Don’t rush to complete your papers at the very last minute. Give yourself time to have fun and be creative!
