Optimization

Instructions: This week and in subsequent weeks of this course, we will be using both the Solver and the Data Analysis Toolpak add-ins that come packaged with Excel on both PCs and Macs. On either type of computer, if the add-ins are already active, you will find them under the DATA tab at the top of your screen in Excel. You dont need to purchase or download anything.

If you dont see Solver and/or Data Analysis shown:

If you have a PC, then you can make them active by FILE, OPTIONS, ADD-INS, Manage Excel Addins, GO, check the box beside both Analysis Toolpak items and Solver, OK.

If you have a Mac, then you activate this add-in by TOOLS, Excel Add-ins, check the box beside Analysis Toolpak and also Solver, OK.

Submit your two assignment files (BUSA 550 Optimization Assignment and Inventory Policy Simulation). Your file types for both files must be Excel (not pdf files).
