PART I

Follow these guidelines when completing each component of the assignment.

Directions

Complete this assignment following the steps below.

  2. Type your responses on the template. Do not submit handwritten notes. Save the template and include your name in the file name.
  3. Use the SMART goal you formatted this week and the result of the Leadership Style Inventory at the end of the lesson to complete the Leadership Style Analysis assignment.
  4. Using APA format, cite and reference ideas and information from scholarly sources from the Chamberlain Library.Sources should be no more than five years old unless they are historical references. At least one scholarly source from the Chamberlain Library must be used. Ensure the scholarly source is not from the lesson or assigned reading materials.
  5. Follow grammar, spelling, word usage, and punctuation rules consistent with formal, professional writing.

Section 1: Leadership, Management, and Followership

  1. In your current experience, do you more frequently assume the leader, manager, or follower role? Explain your answer.

  1. What was your result from the Leadership Style Inventory assessment in the lesson? Use at least one scholarly source from the Chamberlain Library to discuss. Ensure the scholarly source is not from the lesson or assigned reading materials.
  2. Do you feel this result accurately reflects your leadership style? Why or why not?
  3. How do you (or how will you) use this leadership style in the clinical practice environment? Give an example.

Section 3: SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Based) Goal

  2. How does this goal help you grow as a professional nursing leader and contribute to your long-term career vision?

  • Use Canva.com to create an infographic. Watch to learn more about using Canva. Follow the instructions provided to begin using Canva Free.
  • Open the infographic format of the Emotional Intelligence Leadership SWOT Analysis assignment
    • Please use this as needed to help with Canva.
    • Insert images and text as appropriate. Customize colors and fonts. Do not change any headings. Ensure the infographic is readable and well-organized.

Format: PowerPoint

  • Use Microsoft PowerPoint to create a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Download the Emotional Intelligence Leadership SWOT Analysis assignment .
    • Insert images and text as appropriate. Customize colors and fonts if you like. Do not change any headings or the number of slides. Create slides that are professional in appearance and tone and balanced spatially, including words and graphics.
