Background

In this assignment, you will take on the role of an Arbitrator and create a checklist and a presentation that will be delivered to both union and company leaders. Your goal is to clearly outline your arbitration decision, justify your reasoning, and provide recommendations to prevent future disputes. Note that this assignment has two parts.

Part 1: Arbitration Agreement Checklist

  • Reasons/Support for Your Decision: Explain three reasons that justify your ruling. Use examples or references to labor laws, policies, or ethical considerations when possible.
  • Two Recommendations for the Future: Suggest two realistic strategies to help prevent similar disputes in the future.
  • Conclusion: Summarize your key points and final thoughts on how arbitration can help resolve labor disputes effectively.
