Message Analysis Paper

The assignment requires you (1) to choose and describe a mass-produced

persuasive message (e.g., a print advertisement, a commercial, a political

debate etc., 1 page maximum), (2) to identify and explain at least four

different theories and concepts from Chapters 1,2,3,4, 5,6,9, and 13 that are related to the

message, (3) to apply the theories and concepts and analyze the message

(e.g., how do the theories explain the message? what’s the implication for the

field or the industry?). Please also include a short conclusion paragraph as

well as the message (e.g., a picture or a link to the video) you analyze as the

appendix. When you choose the theories and concepts to analyze your

message, please do not pick more than one theory or concept from the same

module. The whole paper should be at least 8 pages (not including title, appendix, or

reference page), double-spaced and use APA format, and should include in-

text citations and a reference page (no need of an abstract section).
