M07 Suicide Assignment

Please select from any ONE of the following questions below to answer. Make sure you answer all components of the question you select.

1. What other factors are associated with a higher risk of suicide for some adolescents and young adults? How does the intersection of gender, gender expression, orientation, race, and social class contribute to these higher risk factors? Explain.
2. Emile Durkheim identified four different types of suicide. Which of these types of suicide do you think is most typical of the individualsocietal relationship in the U.S. today? Support your answer.
3. The book identified several myths associated with suicide. Which of these myths do you consider to have the greatest potential for misleading people and interfering with suicide prevention efforts? Support your answer.
