Scenario

Following the completion of the Virtual Experience: Public Health Nursing and Post-Disaster Recovery: Flood Zone, you are asked by your supervisor to create a brief written summary of the public health nurses visits with Mr. & Mrs. Hernandez, Mr. & Mrs. Jones, and the Lewis family. The report will provide your department with current information about your community and offer interventions for the selected vulnerable population within your community.

• Select one of your towns resource partners and describe how the public health nurse might partner to disseminate relevant information to the community about the resources available following a similar disaster (flood).
• Explain how climate change could impact environmental health issues, such as the flooding experienced in Knights Hollow in the Virtual Experience.
