Considerations

Before submitting the final draft of your Lab Report, make sure you read and consider the detailed descriptions for what each section should contain as well as common mistakes made by previous students (don’t make these too!), which can be found in the PREs and Lab Report resources. These can be found on the page titled Laboratory Report Brainstorming and Checklist – Get Information and Help For Your Laboratory Report Here!

Double- (maybe triple-?) check report with the Lab Report Checklist and ensure it contains all of the elements outlined in the rubric and is free of grammatical errors.

Reminder on Sections for Submission

Please make use of the materials provided they should help immensely when writing the laboratory report. Make sure you budget appropriate time to complete this assignment. The first thing you should do is estimate how much time you think the report will take to write. From experience, I would say that most students then need to multiply that figure by three to get a real estimate of the true time commitment. Also note that you are only submitting three sections for grading purposes:

INTRODUCTION

RESULTS

DISCUSSION

Do not submit the other two sections as they will NOT be graded. In fact, you may have points deducted for not following directions just submit the three sections listed above.

Submission

Please submit the final draft* of your PRE Lab Report here (in PDF format). Do NOT email the file to me (Canvas is a much easier way to keep track of submissions).

*NOTE: You can submit the assignment as many times as you like up to the due date (the most recent submission will be assessed)

Again, make sure to check the various resources (especially the Commonly Made Mistakes on each section handout and the Final Checklist) to ensure your report has all of the necessary components before completing your submission.
