Juvenile Delinqunecy

1. If you had a magic wand, what would you do with the system? What would you do with youth who have engaged in behavior we define as delinquent?

2. In this book as a whole, we have focused upon juvenile delinquency in a diverse society. Consider your own social location — race, ethnicity, social class, gender, sexuality, ability levels, age, and nationality — and think about juvenile delinquency and your experiences in (or not in) the juvenile justice system. (If you are the rare person who NEVER did anything that could have been labeled delinquent if discovered, think about someone else’s social location and life experiences that you know). How did your social world affect your choices and your experiences?
