Initial Educational Philosophy Statement

Directions:

Use the guiding questions below to prompt your thinking about your views on education, in

other words, your educational philosophy.

On a separate sheet of paper, jot down ideas that come to mind for each of the questions. The

first two questions ask you to think broadly about education why we have schools and what it

means to be a teacher. The last two questions ask you to think specifically about the goals for

your future students and about how you might run your classroom.

You will take this home to finish and type your answers before uploading it to Brightspace.
