Instructions

The nursing profession has evolved throughout the years. In this assignment, you will describe the profession’s evolution and the basic tenets of the Jean Watson Caring Human Science.

Create a 5-7 slide PowerPoint presentation about the evolution of nursing and Jean Watsons Human Caring Science. The presentation should include a minimum of 50 words of speaker notes per slide. The slide count does not include the title and reference slide.

Include the following in your presentation:

  • A Title/Introduction slide
  • A description of the basic tenets of Jean Watsons Human Caring Science.
  • A description of the type of professional nurse that you want to become. Include how the kind of nurse that you want to become is related to the basic framework of Jean Watsons Human Caring Science.
  • A description of the evolution of the role of the professional nurse.
  • A reference slide. The reference slide should include at least one reference. The reference should also be cited in the speaker notes when used.

Please note: You should have minimal content on the slides, with most of the presentation content included as speaker notes representing what would be said if you were giving the presentation to an audience. The speaker notes should be added to the speaker note section in PowerPoint, see the , or listed on a separate Word document. Be sure to download the sample presentation to see the example of the speaker notes.
