Homework Assignment Three

Description: This assignment is designed to facilitate students ability to make connections between the

readings, explore specific concepts from readings, as well as finding and providing evidence from the

texts to support their claims.

Instructions: Respond to ONE of the following prompts, providing evidence DIRECTLY from class

materials/readings to justify your response. The response should be in essay format including an

introduction, thesis statement, supporting evidence, conclusion, and reference page. In-text citations

and references should be in APA format. Failure to show evidence directly from the readings to support

your answer will result in a reduction of points. This assignment is due by 11:59pm Thursday March 5th

and is worth up to ten points.

Prompt One: Trace the root cause(s) of political inequality as explored by Rousseau. Describe how labor

and private land ownership are connected to inequality and how Communism, according to Marx, is a

viable solution to class/economic inequality. Do you agree with Rousseau and Marxs findings? Why or

why not? Give at least one specific example to justify your response.
