History Project

Part 1: Creative Component (25 points)

Choose one figure from the Greek chapter and one figure from the Roman chapter.

Greek examples (choose one):

  • Alexander the Great
  • Socrates
  • Aspasia

Roman examples (choose one):

  • Cincinnatus
  • Augustus
  • Perpetua

For each figure, create a Social Media Profile (modernized but historically accurate)

Your creative pieces should highlight:

  • Major achievements or defining actions
  • Core values associated with the figure
  • How their society might have wanted them remembered

Creativity is encouraged, but historical accuracy matters. For this part of the assignment, you can use digital programs such as power point, Canva, storymaps, Visme, Prezi, etc.

Part 2: Comparative Analysis

Write a 500-word comparative analysis explaining how your two chosen figures reflect the core values and transformations of their respective cultures and time periods.

Your analysis should address:

  • What values did each figure represent? (e.g., leadership, virtue, sacrifice, intellect, power, faith)
  • How did each figure reflect a moment of transition or change in their society?
  • How do Greek and Roman ideas of heroism, leadership, or virtue compare?

Grading Criteria:

  • Format: Typed, double-spaced, 12-pt font, 1 margins, minimum 500 words (2 pages). I have attached chapter 5 and 6
