Garry Mose, M.S. – Facilitator Global Business Environment Report Objective The purpose of this assignment is to analyze the global business environment of a selected country and understand the key factors that make it attractive for international business transactions; particularly foreign investment opportunities. Your report should demonstrate your ability to apply concepts learned in class to real-world scenarios. Instructions A. Country Selection: Choose one of the two countries you explored during the oral presentations on National Differences. B. Research and Analysis: Your report should focus on three of the four groups of factors listed below. Use credible sources to gather information and support your analysis. Factors Your Tasks 1. Demographic, Social, and Cultural Aspects Discuss factors such as religion, languages, social structure, gender roles, workforce education and skills, employment conditions, and labor costs. Analyze how these factors contribute to the attractiveness of the country for foreign investment. 2. Economic and Financial Conditions Provide insights into the countrys GDP, GNI, GDP per capita, economic orientation (free market, controlled market, mixed market), trade balance, currency exchange rate, inflation rate, and other relevant economic indicators. Assess how these economic conditions influence foreign investors attraction to this country. 3. Geography, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure Describe the country’s geographic position, climate, landscape, main natural resources, and infrastructure (transportation systems, road conditions, access to electricity, internet access, telecommunications, and water). Evaluate the impact of these geographic and infrastructural factors on business operations and investment opportunities. 4. Governmental & Legal Systems, Political Conditions Analyze the openness to foreign direct investment (FDI), taxation system, subsidies, access to credit, trade agreements with other countries, international cooperation, laws and regulations pertaining to business, anticorruption policies, and current political conditions. Discuss how these elements create a favorable or unfavorable environment for foreign investors. Page 2 of 3 Formatting: 3-4 pages (double-spaced, 11-point font, 1-inch margins) o Include a title page with your name, course, date, and title of the assignment. A reference page is also required for a listed of resources used. The title page and the reference page are not counted towards the total of pages required. Use APA style for citations and references. Provide a reference list at the end of the report. Submission: Submit your paper via the courses online platform by the due date. Adherence to page length requirements 5% Tips for Success Start your research early to allow ample time for analysis and writing. In addition to the resources provided, utilize a variety of sources, such as academic journals, government reports, and reputable news outlets. Do not rely on data from AI tools. They can be inaccurate and misleading. Ensure that your arguments are well-supported with data and examples. Review your paper for clarity, grammar, and coherence before submission.
