Below you will find 2 questions; each needs to be an essay, answered separately and defined (Question 1…), each needs to be at least 500 words, typed and double spaced, left justified, with 1″ margins, and 12 point font. You need to use a normal font, like Arial or Times New Roman, nothing funky! You will need to use information from the textbook, modules, and may use the Internet with great discretion. Be sure to cite your sources!!! Please put your name, the CRN, and the title of your paper on the top left hand side of your paper. Make sure you submit your paper in Word. You also need to submit your work on time, as late papers will not be accepted either; we have a very short time to get our grades done and posted.

Question 1: Given what you learned in this course, who do you think contributed the most to American history (up until 1865) and who do you think was the worst villain in our history (up until 1865)? Why did you choose those people?

Question 2: Discuss the events that led up to the French Indian War and George Washington’s part in it.

1. You will need a bibliography (works cited) page and footnotes/endnotes. Unless you are a history major, you may use the MLA format for both. If you are a history major, you will need to use the Chicago Manual style. Both can be found at the Purdue Owl.
2. Do NOT plagiarize. Do NOT use AI. Everything must be in your own words; do not paraphrase someone elses work and try to pass it off as your own. That is still plagiarism, and you will fail if you do so. Your papers must be written in Microsoft Word format, if they are submitted in any other format they will not be accepted, and you will receive a 0 for the assignment. Be sure to run your paper through Turnitin and fix any accidental plagiarism!
3. You may use 2-3 short quotes (1 sentence each) per paragraph, provided that at least 90% of your paper is original work.
