You may consider:

Part 2 Scenario Evaluation

Choose one scenario from either article and analyze it in depth:

  • What ethical issues are present?
  • What professional standards were violated? (MCEE, district policy, privacy rules, etc.)
  • What were the potential impacts on students, families, colleagues, or the school?
  • What should the educator have done differently?
  • How could the situation have been prevented?

Demonstrate strong professional judgment backed by evidence from the readings.


Part 3 Your Social Media Professional Statement

Write a 1-paragraph professional statement describing:

  • The boundaries you will establish on social media
  • How you will separate personal and professional digital identities
  • Your guidelines for interacting with students and families
  • Your commitment to confidentiality and ethical communication online

This becomes part of your developing professional identity.
