Discussion Section Literature Review Paper

Purpose:

The discussion section is where you bring together and interpret your findings from the literature review. You’ll explore what the research says about your topic, highlight patterns, strengths, and gaps in the evidence, and talk about the implications for nursing practice, education, or policy.

Assignment Instructions:

Write a 23 page Discussion Section (not including title or reference page) that addresses the following:

  1. Summary of Findings:
  • Summarize the major themes or findings from your reviewed studies.
  • Highlight similarities and differences across the research.
  1. Interpretation and Analysis:
  • Explain what these findings mean in the context of your research question or topic.
  • Discuss any patterns, inconsistencies, or emerging trends.
  • Address the overall strength and quality of the evidence.
  1. Implications for Nursing Practice:
  • Explain how the evidence can be applied to nursing practice, patient outcomes, education, or policy.
  • Discuss how nurses can integrate these findings into evidence-based care.
  1. Limitations and Gaps:
  • Identify limitations of the studies or gaps in the existing literature.
  • Suggest areas for future research.

Formatting Requirements:

  • Recommended length: 2-3 pages (excluding title and references).
  • Use APA 7th edition format (Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced, with title and reference pages).
  • Include in-text citations and a reference list for all sources cited.
  • Resources need to citated appropriately
  • AI usage will be monitored by faculty via Turnitin
  • The similarity and AI report for this assignment will be reviewed, and points may be deducted if needed for excessive elevations.
