Narcan has helped to change the landscape of overdose. While still a public health issue, CDC data indicated that overdose deaths fell by roughly 21% to 24% in various 2025 reports, with expanded access to naloxone cited as a key factor in this decline. (1) Pennsylvania reported that from January through September 2025, nearly 9,500 overdoses were reversed using naloxone distributed through the state’s Overdose Prevention Program (2)

Your job is to find Narcan. You do not need to purchase it (although you can, even on Amazon!). I want you to get it for Free so use the links. Use resources in this module or the internet to find Naloxone for FREE.

The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with a lifesaving tool, illustrate a public health measure (aka free Naloxone) in our community, provide a way to evaluate how easy or hard it is to secure Naloxone. Just because you don’t think that a anyone you know does drugs, ou may be surprised or you may be in public and witness an overdose. Being prepared is as simple as having naloxone (Narcan) in your bag.

Objectives

Instructions

Use tools in this class to find Narcan. Sources in module 5A may help or use the internet. This is a great way to see how hard it is for someone not in the class to find free Narcan.
Post a video of you and the Narcan. It can show you holding it, or if you are camera shy, it can be just the item while you tell us..

…how much time it took? For example, searching, driving, mailing it etc
Listen to a few of your peer’s post and find one that found Narcan at the same or similar place. Name that peer.
Tell us on a scale of 1-10 how hard was it. 1 is super easy, 5 moderate effort, 10 extreme effort.
