You will now develop a business proposal for an organization to encourage it to adopt a positive framework for building a vibrant community for any age or stage in life, including active adults. You will draw from your knowledge of the historical underpinnings of the field, key concepts of positive psychology, and potential future directions for positive aging as you create this proposal. Research from the three pillars (positive emotions, positive traits, and positive institutions) will guide you as you formulate a plan to overhaul the current organizational model. You will create the proposal based on the Serenbe Community, Carefree Cove, and any other communities you may research.
- Based on your research, explain what constitutes positive living and aging in a community.
- Assess how people can live and age in a positive fashion, living within intergenerational communities.
- Provide recommendations for your participants to increase their positive aging based on the Serenbe Model.
- Build an argument for creating a vibrant community based on positive psychology research and describe the elements needed.
- Include an Appendix detailing all the extra amenities, activities, and resources your community would offer to differentiate it from the competition. This appendix may also serve as a handout to use to attract potential residents.
