Critical Theory Reflective Practice Paper

Introduction

Critical theory provides a valuable framework for reflective practice in a Doctor of Nursing Practice Program (DNP) by fostering critical awareness, challenging assumptions, and promoting transformative learning that guides reflective practice. Critical theory enriches reflective practice for DNPs by encouraging deeper inquiry into the systemic and social dimensions of healthcare, fostering leadership and advocacy for meaningful change.

Requirements:

A 4-6 page formal scholarly paper written in APA (7th ed.) style excluding the title page and references. However, please include in your APA 7th edition paper with the running head, headings, and include the reference list in the body of paper, integrating use of critical theory for reflective practice and professional identity formation with your narrative. Follow the rubric to organize the body and sections of your paper.

Directions:

In your paper students will describe a situation, analyze the power dynamics, and address assumptions you or others identified in the situation had integrating models/frameworks and critical theory/critical analysis for reflective practice. Exam the rubric below to organize your paper headings. More detailed directions in the attatched below, as well as the grading rubric.
