Cotton, Labor, and Memory Public History Project

Students will conduct a miniresearch project examining cotton labor, Black agricultural life, or freedom struggles using oral histories, archival documents, or community memory. Projects may draw from the Cotton Pickers of America initiative and related materials. Students will submit a written analysis and reflective statement linking historical findings to public memory and civic understanding. This is a research assignment that can be rendered in a OP ED
