CONCEPT WORKSHEET: The Persuasive Research Paper Proposal

In last weeks discussion, we identified possible research paper topics and research questions. Now its time to make a definitive decision about your papers topic and get started on your research. Submit a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) only. Submissions in any other format, such as PDF, will not be accepted. Please ensure you use the correct file type before submitting.

Now create a document that answers the following questions, devoting a 3-5 sentence paragraph to each:

• What topic have you decided to write your research paper on, and why have you chosen this topic?
• What is your research question, and what do you think your research will reveal as a possible answer to this question? Feel free to speculate here and touch on a few possibilities.
• What is one source (from the web or library databases) that provides useful background information on your topic or research questions, and how might you use it in your research paper? Provide a link.
