Component 2: Presentation to Internal Stakeholders

For the second of the three capstone components, you will develop a professional presentation based on the information from your problem analysis and proposal. The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate your ability to communicate your research and proposal clearly while explaining the reasoning behind your recommended solution. Your presentation should be visually clear, concise, and logically organized. Imagine that you are presenting your proposal to internal stakeholders within the organization in order to gain their support for implementing the proposed solution. Because this presentation will not be delivered in person, you must include detailed speaker notes or recorded audio that explains the information presented on each slide. This presentation should summarize the key findings from your research on the criminal justice issue you identified and explain the reasoning behind your proposed solution. In addition, your presentation must address the following elements: A. Organizational Alignment Explain how your proposal supports the mission and goals of the organization. B. Communication Strategy Describe the strategy you would use to communicate the proposal to external stakeholders in your selected city, including community members and other relevant partners. C. Long-Term Impact Provide an estimate of where the organization and the surrounding community may be five to ten years after the proposal has been implemented. Students should review their previous milestone submissionsespecially the proposal draft and problem analysiswhen preparing this presentation, as the information from those assignments will serve as the foundation for the presentation content. Presentation Length The presentation should be approximately 10 to 12 slides, including a title slide and reference slide. Slides should highlight key points, while the speaker notes should provide the full explanation and supporting details. Your goal is to create a presentation that effectively communicates the most important aspects of your proposal while keeping the audience engaged and focused on the proposed solution.
