Comparative and global social policy

Question one: Is globalisation fair? : This question efers to the global economy. Your answer should explore the economic relationship between the global North and the global South. Suggested (not compulsory) ‘comparative’ approach 1: Globalisation is unfair because it means the global North unfairly exploiting the global South, versus globalisation is fair because it allows the global South to catch up’. Suggested ‘comparative’ approach 2: The wealth of the global North is not linked to poverty in the global South, versus the wealth of the global North is directly linked to inequality in the global South. Do not just write what you believe to be true: present the arguments of key, relevant and academically relevant people, illustrating various viewpoints with factual data. You should briefly define globalisation in your essay, but it is assumed that we understand what it means in this context, hence, only one or two lines are needed to do this. Focus your essay on relationships between the global North as the dominant force in the global economy, and the global South, as the less powerful force.
