Scenario:
Samuel is a 15-month-old twin who is currently admitted to an inpatient pediatric unit. Where she has been admitted for an acute gastrointestinal regurgitation. At birth, Samuels twin Sophia passed away.
While on the unit his mother has not been able to visit much as she is still struggling with the loss of her daughter. His father is not involved and works with no other family members present in the state. During her night shift vitals, the Nurse notes that Samuels vitals reflect:
BP = 74/55; HR 140 bpm; Temp = 37.5C; RR = 30; 1/10 Pain using FLACC; Pulse Oxygen = 98% on RA.
